There are numerous way to render outdoor scenes during the editing process, depending upon the subject. Sometimes your goal is maximum depth of field throughout the frame, while other times a soft background blur will separate an important foreground object from a cluttered background.

Experienced landscape photographers prefer shooting at two primes times of day, early morning or late afternoon. That’s because Blue Hour, just before sunset, is a great opportunity to make images with calm, blue tones. Golden Hour, at the end of the day, enables you imbue scenes with striking warm colors as the sun is about to set.

So you forgot to bring a polarizing filter, and the blue sky in your photograph doesn’t look as awesome as it did when looking through the viewfinder. This is a common concern that can be easily fixed with a few quick clicks in Lightroom, as you’ll see below.
