Panasonic just announced the newest addition to its Lumix S camera series, the Lumix S1H, a full frame mirrorless camera aimed at photographers who are serious about shooting video. According to Panasonic, the SH1 is the "world’s first camera capable of video recording at 6K/24p (3:2 aspect ratio), 5.9K/30p (16:9 aspect ratio), and 10-bit 60p 4K/C4K."

Those (still) popular GoPro action cameras just got some stiff competition. DJI, which is known for its drones and camera stabilizers, just launched the new 4K-shooting Osmo Action camera, which is a direct competitor to GoPro's now ubiquitous POV adventure cams.

Nikon just announced two new products for its new Z-series mirrorless camera line. First off is the Nikkor Z 14-30mm f/4 S, the first ultra-wide zoom lens for the Nikon Z Mount. This newest S-Line Nikkor lens is a popular focal length for landscape, travel, event and architecture photographers, offering a combination of performance and portability for the new Z Mount, Nikon said in a press announcement tonight.

Panasonic took the wraps off a new mirrorless camera at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas: the Lumix GH5S, which is designed for professional filmmakers and videographers along with photographers.
