PhotoLynx, Inc. announces the release of ProofMyClass.com and ProofMyTeam.com. software that makes possible quick, accurate and inexpensive data and image validation.

Tim McCain, Sr. Vice Pres. of PhotoLynx, Inc. says, “For years school and sports photographers and digital imaging labs have been faced with the challenge of verifying names and images on class composites and other service items such as ID cards, principal pages, yearbook CDs and the many other products needed in the volume package market.  Now, with ProofMyClass.com and ProofMyTeam.com, the verification process can be much quicker, more accurate and less costly while at the same time reducing turnaround time.  ProofMyClass.com and ProofMyTeam.com, also, make significant contributions to the green cause by reducing hardcopy prints and shipping.”

The photographer or digital imaging lab uploads the images and data to the secure ProofMyClass.com or ProofMyTeam.com website where authorized individuals from the respective group, the school or league, access the information and make needed changes and corrections.  Once completed, the information is downloaded to the original database and the changes and corrections are automatically made and production can continue with updated accurate data associated with each image.

Additional information and a demonstration can be obtained by contacting Tim McCain, Tim@PhotoLynx.com or Paul Schulz, Paul@PhotoLynx.com.

Several new dye sub printers have been recently announced. These printers employ
thermal transfer technology--they apply heat to a special ink ribbon to produce
colored gas that forms an image on special media. All provide approximately
300dpi resolution, plenty for continuous tone output.

High Speed Pro Printers

Kodak recently introduced two new roll-fed thermal transfer 300dpi Professional
models (with automatic cutters) that generate high quality output for use as
proofs or for immediate sale. Both employ Ektatherm media said to produce prints
that will "last a lifetime". An archival rating has not yet been
published. (They require a computer running Windows 2000 or XP; Mac support
is not available at this time.) The Professional 6850 Digital Photo Printer
is lightning fast. It can deliver 6x8-inch glossies in 15 seconds or 4x6's
in a mere 4 seconds -- hundreds of such photos in a series (without operator
intervention) when high volume is required. (List price $2900; cost per print
not stated; available in August 2005.)
