Lensbaby, known for a variety of creative effects lenses, has dropped the curtain on the new Twist 60, a 60mm portrait lens with a fast f/2.5 maximum aperture, all-metal construction and some unique swirling bokeh effects. The lens harkens back to a design created by Joseph Petzval in 1840.

The Rescued Film Project is an amazing online gallery of images that were captured on film between the 1930's and late 1990's. The fascinating and poignant video below chronicles the discovery and restoration of 31 rolls of undeveloped film shot by an American solidier during World War II. Samsung, one of the leaders in wearable technology, may be taking miniaturization to a whole new level with a patent for smart contact lenses equipped with a camera, sensors, and an antenna with the ability to transfer images to a smartphone for processing. All you have to do is blink to take a picture!

The long anticipated collaboration between Leica and Chinese smartphone maker Huawei is finally a reality with the unveiling of two flagship models, the P9 and P9 Plus. Both models feature dual 12-megapixel cameras – one monochrome and the other color – and together the sensors are said to increase the amount of light the camera can detect by 300%, with a 50% improvement in contrast.

Skrekkøgle is a small product and digital design studio in Oslo, Norway known for their impactful, quirky projects. One of our favorites is a project in which they fabricated a 20:1 replica of a 50-Euro coin and placed it in various scenes to make large objects appear tiny.
