Design Studio Fabricates Giant Coin to Make Large Objects Appear Tiny When Photographed

Skrekkøgle is a small product and digital design studio in Oslo, Norway known for their impactful, quirky projects. One of our favorites is a project in which they fabricated a 20:1 replica of a 50-Euro coin and placed it in various scenes to make large objects appear tiny.

They then used a tilt-shift lens to photograph the scenes from a high vantage point to create some rather mind-bending effects.

The studio was founded in 2011 by Lars Marcus Vedeler and Theo Tveterås. They work on interactive design with technology companies and frequently embark on fun experimental projects that may have no commercial application at all.

You can see more of their interesting work by checking out their Flickr stream. And if you get hooked, some of their objects are for sale in a shop on their website.
