The Sigma Corporation of America this morning announced the Sigma 24-35mm F2 DG HSM Art lens, which the company is calling “the world’s first” full-frame zoom lens with a constant aperture of F/2 throughout the zoom range. The company has not yet announced pricing or availability for this somewhat unusual piece of premium glass.

Sigma just announced the new Sigma 35mm F1.2 DG DN Art and 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN Art lenses and the 45mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary lens.

The long and the short of it, Sigma America just announced two new full-frame prime lenses designed specifically for full-frame mirrorless camera systems. Joining the Sigma lens lineup are the world’s first f/1.4 diagonal fisheye and a rugged, lightweight Ultra-Tele.

The Sigma APO 150-50mm lens is a moderately fast, super-telephoto zoom designed to work with both APS-C and full-frame DSLR cameras. Sigma offers a series of seven compact prime lenses in their Contemporary lineup ranging from 20mm f2 to 90mm f2.8 that they designate as the I Series. Compatible with Sony E and Leica L mount systems, the lenses feature predominately metal construction, superb build quality and a high class look of a higher priced optic. They feel good in the hand and deliver outstanding results.
