Fujifilm announced today it will be offering an IR (Infrared) version of its pro-level X-T1 mirrorless camera. Called, appropriately, the Fujifilm XT-1 IR (Infrared), the camera is aimed at law enforcement, medical research and scientific communities, which use IR photography as part of their work, Fuji said. Applications include crime scene investigation, healthcare diagnostics and observation, and other scientific and technical applications.

When Fujifilm said at the photokina show in Cologne, Germany last year that its forthcoming 51.4-megapixel GFX mirrorless medium format camera would sell for “way under $10,000,” they weren’t lying.

Fujiflim has introduced the new compact Fujinon XF90mm F2 R LM WR, a weather-resistant, fast-aperture prime lens designed to  deliver sharp images with rich bokeh, at all aperture settings. The Fujinon XF90mm F2 R LM WR (137mm in 35mm format equivalent) uses an optical construction of 11 elements in 8 groups (including 3 ED glass elements) that minimizes vignetting and creates bokeh thanks to the rounded diaphragm.

The long awaited and fiercely rumored replacement for the Fujifilm X-H1 has been announced, along with two new Fujinon zoom lenses. The Fujifilm X-H2S is an APS-C format mirrorless camera that features Fujifilm’s all-new 26.16-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HS stacked BSI imaging sensor. The also-new X-Processor 5 empowers enhanced autofocus, 7-stop image stabilization, high-speed burst photography and significantly improved video performance.

Fujifilm unveiled two new products for mirrorless shooters this morning: the compact, retro-styled X-A3 camera, and the weather and dust-resistant XF 23mm f/2 R WR wide-angle lens.
