JK Imaging, Ltd., which is now the worldwide licensee for the Kodak brand,  PIXPRO Digital Cameras and Devices, has announced the new Kodak Pixpro SP360 Action Cam. This small and portable device was designed to capture 360-degree HD videos and fully immersive images all in one shot, ie. without the need for multiple cameras or other devices. The SP360 Action Cam is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and features a dome-shaped fixed lens that captures 360-degree HD videos (at 30fps) that can be shot and viewed from multiple vantage points including: 360-degree Panorama, Front (212 degrees), Split with 180 degrees front and rear views simultaneously, Dome (214 degrees) and Ring/Sphere (360 degrees) modes.

Here are two new compact cameras you might want to bring on your next safari vacation: the 35x zoom (24-840mm equivalent) Nikon Coolpix A1000 and 60x (24-1440mm) Nikon Coolpix B600 compact zoom cameras.

Phew, what a busy month it’s been for new photo gear! While the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas has not, traditionally, been a major event to debut high-end photography equipment, CES 2016 was definitely an exception with dozens of interesting imaging releases. (And hopefully this is a trend that continues at future CES events, which, in recent years have been rather ho-hum for photography gear.)

If you're looking for a do-everything travel camera with an extremely versatile built-in lens, the new 16-megapixel Nikon Coolpix P950 could be just what you're looking for. Announced last night, the Nikon Coolpix P950 is a relatively compact superzoom bridge camera packed with an 83x optical zoom lens.

Nikon recently announced the Coolpix B600, a superzoom with a 24-1440mm equivalent range, highly effective image stabilization, 16-megapixel CMOS sensor and a lens that’s sharper than kittens’ teeth. Priced at just $299, this easy-to-use point-and-shoot spent nearly two months in our hands, and here is what we learned.

I’ve often wished I had a camera that could go from 24mm to 2000mm at the touch of a button and without being weighed down by a ton of glass. Okay, maybe not all the way to 2000mm and perhaps not in a power zoom, but you get my point. The Nikon Coolpix P900 superzoom (super-duper-zoom?) camera gives you that reach in a fairly compact body, relative to a lens with such a broad range of focal lengths.

Nikon introduced an amazing superzoom camera tonight: the Coolpix P900, all-in-one compact that features a head-turning 83x built-in zoom lens. For those keeping score at home, that translates into an astronomical 24-2000mm (in 35mm equivalent) zoom lens in a camera not much bigger or heavier than a small, entry-level DSLR.
