Incredible 10K Timelapse Video of Rio de Janeiro Uses Hundreds of Detailed 80-Megapixel Images
While most photographers in Rio de Janeiro now have their lenses trained on athletes at the Olympics, Joe Capra of Scientifantastic spent time there a year ago creating this ultra-HD timelapse of the city’s most iconic cityscapes. He used an extreme resolution PhaseOne IQ180 digital medium format camera sytem to shoot hundreds of 80-megapixel images.
Each sequence you see in the video below begins with a full resolution image scaled down to 14%, Then you see a full resolution image at 50% and another at an eye-popping 100%.
As you can see, the detail is amazing. You can see more of Capra’s work for Scientifantastic on Vimeo.
