In the last in our series of videos from the recent PhotoPlus Expo show in New York City, Scott Nidermaier, who does Tech Support/EDU Outreach for Phase One, helped us get a handle on the new V-Grip for the XF medium format camera system.

Nikon’s Lindsay Silverman gave us the scoop on two new Nikkor lenses that were making their debuts at the PhotoPlus Expo show in New York City last week: the AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR zoom and PC Nikkor 19mm f/4E ED tilt-shift lens.

We wrote about the new Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 (Model A022) lens when it was announced at the beginning of the month but it was only at the photokina show in Germany last week that we got to see this impressive superzoom in person. And man, is it big!

Photokina 2016  may have ended, but we have a couple more interesting lens introductions to share with you: Leica’s 50mm f/1.4 Summilux SL ASPH, and the Lensbaby Twist60 announced earlier in the U.S.

Arguably, the biggest camera news at this year’s photokina show in Cologne, Germany was the announcement of the new Fujifilm GFX, a medium format mirrorless camera, which was unveiled to much fanfare on Monday. Shutterbug was one of a handful of media outlets to get our hands on a prototype of the 51.4-megapixel GFX and try it out for about half an hour in a conference room at the show.

MeFOTO has launched a new line of compact, rugged tripods that feature a Bluetooth remote, a precision ball head, a secure leg-lock system, and removable center columns for taking selfies. The versatile "Air" tripods (and a monopod) are available in three sizes, and all come with a spring-loaded phone adapter for selfies.
