Fujifilm just took the wraps off its new premium mirrorless camera: the X-Pro2. The flagship X-Series camera is the follow-up to Fuji’s X-Pro1 from 2012 and while it looks similar to that rangefinder-style model, the X-Pro2 adds a host of new features.

The hot topic for serious shooters going into the New Year: Should you stick with the traditional DSLR system that has served you splendidly, or opt for one of the latest mirrorless compact system cameras that promises to deliver the full interchangeable lens shooting experience in a smaller, lighter package?

The new Leica SL (Typ 601) is a brand new mirrorless system camera with a full frame sensor and a resolution of 24MP. The SL can't be described as a Compact System Camera because it has a very heavy and robust body built by a milling machine out of a massive aluminum block and is comparable to the size of a standard SLR system.

The Canon EOS M10 is Canon's new entry-level mirrorless camera and features an 18MP APS-C sensor (22.3 x 14.9 mm). The new EOS M mount lens Canon offers with the new camera, the Canon EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM, is very compact. Including this new lens, Canon now offers five lenses in the EOS M series line; the Mount Adapter EF-EOS M adapter allows use of their EF lenses as well.

Panasonic announced today it will soon start offering an innovative new photographic function called “Post Focus” in some of its Lumix cameras. The feature allows photographers to capture multiple photos with multiple in-focus points through a single release of the shutter.

The term bokeh refers to a photographic technique that creates soft out of focus areas in an image. The brief video embedded below shows how to use a Russian-made Jupiter 9 85mm F/2 lens and a tilt ring adapter on a mirrorless camera to create stunning videos with a beautiful bokeh background look.
