Just last August, Ricoh introduced the K-S1 digital SLR and now that model is already being replaced with the just announced K-S2. Where the previous camera received a mixed reaction for its unconventional design that featured a handgrip that lit up with green lights, the new K-S2 DSLR is more traditional looking.

Ricoh just officially launched the GR III, the latest model in the company’s cult classic compact camera series. The Ricoh GR III is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand or a pants pocket but sports a large, 24.24MP APS-C size CMOS sensor comparable to what you’d find in some DSLRs and mirrorless cameras.

One of the better deals we saw at the recent PhotoPlus Expo show in New York City was a massive price drop on the Pentax 645Z medium format camera and on a complete 645Z “Starter Kit” that included three high quality lenses, accessories and an extended warranty. The body, which is specifically designed for professional hand-held film-based or digital photography, is equipped with vertical and horizontal shift systems and a tilting lens mount. The Rm3d has an auto-locking horizontal and vertical shift system on the film plane AIP (All In Plane).
