Shutterbug Photo of the Day: “Sunrise Foggy Reflections” by Jacques Olivier

Our Shutterbug Photo of the Day by Jacques Olivier is a tranquil scene of still waters reflecting soft shades of purple and gold.

“This photo was taken in February 2015," Oliver writes. "I actually discovered this location a few weeks earlier, took a few shots but I wasn't happy at all with the result. When I woke up and saw the fog a few weeks later, I decided to go back there for another try. I actually went there a little too early, so I had to patiently wait for the sun to rise to take this photo. On my first attempt, I didn't even notice the presence of this old dock for small boats. I just saw it when the sunlight started to reflect on its surface. It's not a composite, I simply enhanced the colors in LR, then used Photoshop to erase some leafs floating on the surface of the water."

This image was captured with a Nikon D810, Nikkor 14-24mm 1:2.8G at 1/80 sec, f/5,6 ISO 100.
