Shutterbug Photo of the Day: “Lightning in Harpers Ferry” by Rhuel Adams

Our Shutterbug Photo of the Day is the result of two dramatic images (from two photographers) combined to create one amazing shot.

“A composite constructed from an image I shot of the church in Harpers Ferry, WV and lightning captured by a former co-worker (Travis Smith) in Ashburn, VA," writes Rhuel Adams.

"I had originally edited the church for black and white and a few weeks later my co-worker showed me his images of the recent lightning storm he captured. I thought the two images combined were much better than either alone."

The images were captured with with a Canon 40D and 85mm f/1.8 and a Canon 60D.
