Here Are the Stunning Winners of the Inaugural Monochrome Awards Photo Contest

American photographer Neil Craver has been announced as the overall winner of the inaugral Monochrome Awards. Carver won the title of Monochrome Photographer of the Year and will receive $2000 in prize money.

His winning image, called “Manufacturing Content” is a unique glimpse into the subconscious of the mind. See it below.

In the Amateur category, Italian photographer Giorgio Bianchi was announced as Monochrome Discovery of the Year 2014 and he received $1000 prize in money.

His winning image, called “Behind Kiev's Barricades” covers the onset of the violent protests to the beginning of the Crimean crisis.

The 2014 Monochrome Awards received nearly 7000 submissions from 86 countries. The winning images were selected by panel of international judges, including: Ted Preuss, David Fokos, Roman Loranc, David Johndrow, Stefano Brunesci, Tomasz Lazar, Dominique Bollinger, Andre Brito, Giacomo Brunelli and Martin  Stavars.

The Monochrome Photography Awards conducts an annual competition for pro and amateur photographers. The contest is designed to celebrate monochrome visions and to help discover  amazing photographers from around the world.
