Alien Skin Software has announced the release of Eye Candy 5: Impact, a set
of 10 plug-in filters for Adobe Photoshop and other compatible host programs.
Impact creates chrome, bevels, glass buttons, perspective shadows, and more.
The third of three upgrades to Eye Candy 4000, Impact features three new filters--Backlight,
Brushed Metal and Extrude--and seven reincarnated Eye Candy classics. Graphic
designers, digital photographers, and Web content creators will appreciate Impact's
versatile and beautifully rendered effects.

The Freestyle Creative Center for Photography is proud to host a premier showing
of Holga images by Freestyle Advisory Board member Michelle Bates, titled “Toying With Creativity”. Michelle is a champion of the alternative (or "toy")
camera genre, noted especially for her work with the all-plastic Holga camera.
Her award-winning pictures have been featured and published across the nation,
most recently in her new book "Plastic Cameras: Toying with Creativity,"
considered by many the definitive primer for the world of toy camera photography.
Michelle's images evoke a multitude of emotions, from poignant to whimsical
to ethereal. They are a throwback to days when photography was considered more
of a joyous activity than a specialized craft.

Aluratek, Inc. has announced a new lineup of a high resolution Digital Photo
Frame with built-in memory that comes in three different models. The 10.5-inch
frames are available in traditional brown and black modernistic style. Both
10.5-inch models feature 256MB built-in memory and video resolutions of 1024
x 768 . In addition to allowing users to conveniently view and print quality
pictures by directly inserting their camera's or camcorder's digital
media card or USB thumb drive, the built-in 256MB flash media also lets them
transfer favorite digital files directly from their computer--quickly and
easily, without any software.
