If you want to learn how to light and pose for boudoir photography, look no further than the below tutorial from boudoir pro Yuliya Panchenko. In the video, Panchenko shares her top selling boudoir poses and top over-the-head lighting techniques for boudoir shoots.

“These type of poses and lighting is extremely popular among the clients, and they are always picked for print,” Panchenko explains. “Learn and master the lighting and posing for boudoir photography.”

In the video, she works with model Julienne Llanos to demonstrate the boudoir poses and lighting ideas.

“Overhead lighting is great for boudoir first of all because if you’re using overhead lighting, you really need only one light,” Panchenko explains. “So, if you’re on a budget and you have only one light this is a perfect one-light setup for your photo shoot. Also, if you are working with laying poses, which are the most popular in boudoir, with the subject laying on the floor, on the bed, on the couch, this type of lighting is perfect for those poses.”

As part of the tutorial, she then demonstrates those laying-type poses using Julienne as the model. “You’ll see how the light falls on our subject’s body and what effect we’re getting when we position our light above our subject’s head,” Panchenko notes.
