Shutterbug Photo of the Day: “Sunrise After the Storm” by Laura Zirino

Today’s Shutterbug Photo of the Day is this dramatic mountain range photo by Laura Zirino. She captured the shot with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, 24-105mm lens, tripod, and a polarizer. The settings were ISO 100, 1/4 sec, f/14, at 24mm.

“I thought this was a photographer's worst nightmare: clouds move in front of spectacular light on the peaks at the last possible minute,” Zirino writes. “But a second look and I'm glad it happened: the scene was wild, and it was magnificent to witness. The clouds just add to the wildness. I'm just glad I was standing there with a camera when it all came together.”
