The Canon G1 X Mark III Compact Camera Has a DSLR-size Sensor & We Checked It Out at PhotoPlus (VIDEO)

Shutterbug has been combing the aisles of PhotoPlus Expo in New York City this week, checking out all the hot gear camera making its debut at the show. We stopped by the Canon booth and got a look at the new Canon G1 X Mark III, which squeezes a 24.2MP DSLR-size APS-C sensor inside a compact camera body about the size and weight of the small G5 X, which it resembles.

In the below video, Technology Specialist Brandon Chin from Canon shows off all the key features of the G1 X Mark III. The G1 X III has a 24-70mm equivalent lens with an aperture range of f/2.8-5.6 and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), and adds faster Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus (AF) technology, and a Digic 7 processor.
