Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Page 2

Weather
Albuquerque boasts lovely mild fall weather, with daytime temperatures hovering around 72°. This is another reason why October is ideal for the Balloon Fiesta. Keep in mind, however, that you're at an altitude of 5000 feet, so dress in layers. While it's sometimes cool in the morning, after the sun rises it warms up considerably. Be sure to bring sunscreen and appropriate eye protection.

Thousands of people attend the Balloon Fiesta each year. If you want to join them, book your travel plans as early as possible. You can purchase tickets online at www.aibf.org (the Balloon Fiesta's official website), or call 888/422-7277, ext. 303. Admission is $6 for persons over the age of 12. Children 12 and under are admitted free. General parking is $5 per vehicle. Five-event ticket packs are available for $25; an all-event parking pass is $30.
