Custom SLR has announced the immediate availability of the M-Plate universal camera tripod plate. The M-Plate offers built-in Manfrotto RC2 and Arca-Swiss connections as well as attachment points for accessories. Produced with appreciation from the support of more than 400 Kickstarter backers and designed by a team of seasoned photographers, the M-Plate enables quick release from any tripod head and can attach multiple camera accessories onto a single plate.
The new DAIWA DST-43 tripod has a professional true-fluid pan head with 60mm ball mount. The tripod can handle up to 4kgs (8.8 pounds) of camera and equipment.
The DST-43 all-metal head comes complete with one pan handle but has handle mounts on both sides of the head for two-handle use.
The head has a long-side quick release plate for easy mounting and dismounting of the camera. There is also an illuminated bubble level that lights up for 20 seconds when it's button is pushed. This makes it easy to set up and level in dark places.
