Bear spray is your friend. That’s the message from a terrifying video showing a photographer being stalked by a black bear in the woods in Canada only to turn the tables on the animal with a well-placed blast of bear spray.

When we post time-lapse videos, they typically involve thousands of landscape or nature images, like the spectacular project we shared last spring that used 8TB of photos to capture the beauty of blooming flowers over a period of three years.

If you’ve ever flown a drone, you know these flying eggbeaters are prone to crashing…sometimes in very hard-to-reach locations.

Earlier this month we posted a fascinating video demonstrating all the technology that enables the shutter of a modern DSLR to open and close with remarkable speed and precision. In the equally interesting time-lapse below, you’ll see what happens when things go wrong and a technician has to replace the shutter of a Canon EOS 6D.

We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: it’s not nice to buzz wildlife with aerial drones. In the latest incident of “when animals attack drones,” a chimpanzee at the Royal Burgers’ Zoo in the Netherlands can be seen swatting a pesky drone out of the air with a big stick in the below video.

Will people ever get the message that it’s not polite to buzz wildlife with a flying drone? Last week we shared a video of a pride of a male lions chomping and chewing up a crashed Phantom imaging drone.  Now’s here’s a similar clip involving a group of seven kangaroos.

We don’t know about you, but if this happened to us when we were out shooting landscape photos, we might have had a heart attack! In the eerie video below shared by The Weather Network, strong winds blowing through a woodland area in Sacre-Coeur, Quebec this week make it appear that the forest floor is “breathing.”

Who says modeling isn’t a dangerous business? Photographer Ken Kiefer recently had several models swim in a watery reef full of crocodiles for an underwater “glamour” shoot, according to the New York Post.

We reviewed the amazing Nikon Coolpix P900 last month and were blown away by its incredible 83x (24-2000mm in 35mm equivalent) optical zoom lens. Now we’ve seen something even more astounding from this camera.
