Photographers have long been challenged when attempting to capture the splendor of big mountain ranges, both in terms of equipment and geography. In his quest to document Italy’s Dolomites, Kurt Moser decided to go really big, by converting a 45-year-old Russian military truck into a giant camera.

Yes, we’re all pretty sick of selfies but one clever photographer has created a hilarious photo series that appears to show ancient statues taking these now ubiquitous digital self portraits.

Freestyle Photographic Supplies, in its continuing efforts to showcase the works
of black-and-white photographic masters, brings Mr. Gil Garcetti's Frozen
Music to its Gallery at the Creative Center for Photography. With his stunningly
powerful images--some as large as four by six feet--Mr. Garcetti captures
the powerful aesthetic of Frank O. Gehry's architectural masterpiece, the
Walt Disney Concert Hall.



Viewers are treated to a unique insider's look at this breathtaking building
as it was brought to life in downtown Los Angeles, California. With this show,
Mr. Garcetti, who retired as the Los Angeles County District Attorney in 2000,
establishes himself as a serious photographic talent. The opening reception is
from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on May 11, 2006 at Freestyle's Creative Center for
Photography Gallery, 5124 Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, California.

Montreal-based architectural photographer Chris M. Forsyth has spent the past year and a half creating stunning images of underground metro stations, and he was kind enough to share his work with us. He began The Metro Project during his daily commute in Montreal’s subway system, and has since moved on to Munich, Berlin and Stockholm.

Chris Porsz is a paramedic and long-time amateur street photographer who came up with an enchanting project: He tracked down the subjects of the street portraits he shot almost 40 years ago, and recreated the images with the people as they appear today.
