Watch Leica M10 Digital Rangefinders Get Built By Hand at a Factory in Germany (VIDEO)

If you love “seeing how the sausage is made” in the camera world as much as we do, then you’re really going to enjoy the Surface Magazine video below of factory workers in Germany hand-building Leica M10 digital rangefinders.

The level of precision and skill from the workers is impressive but not surprising considering how finely tuned and well built Leica cameras are. (We particularly like the part where Leica’s signature red dots are placed onto the M10 cameras with what look like tweezers.)

We experienced the fruits of Leica’s meticulousness firsthand while testing an early release version of the Leica M10 earlier this year. You can see our Leica M10 review/report with full resolution test images here. Also be on the lookout for the upcoming June 2017 issue of Shutterbug magazine, where we've included Editor-at-Large George Schaub's Field Test review of the Leica M10, which he shot with in Berlin.

And after you watch the below video of M10’s being hand assembled, check out this video we recently shot of Sony A7R II mirrorless cameras being build from scratch at a factory in Thailand.
