Color Flow
Last October Shutterbug reader Neil Williams planned a two-day trip to Asheville, North Carolina, “to get some fall color on the Blue Ridge Parkway but the weather didn’t cooperate (heavy rain and complete lack of visibility).” So, he decided to change course slightly and make a quick trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee instead.

“After a day, I scooted over to the lower elevations [in the park] where I was able to spend a few hours in the creeks along Newfound Gap Road,” Williams said.

We are glad he did as this pretty photo shows a very clever use of long exposure.

Williams captured the shot on an Induro tripod with a Fuji X-T2 and a Fuji XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR lens at 29.2mm, f/7.1, and 26 seconds. He also used the following filters: a six-stop ND and a circular polarizer by Breakthrough Photography.
