Here's a Sneaky Little Trick to Make Colors Pop in Photoshop (VIDEO)

Sometimes the best photography hacks come to you by accident. This is often the case with Photoshop, which has so many layers (ahem, so to speak), that using it can sometimes feel like stumbling in the dark.

But every once in a while, you find a lightbulb! For Photoshop expert Colin Smith of photoshopCAFE, that happens more often than not. In the below video tutorial, Smith shares "a sneaky hack" he discovered in Photoshop that will make colors pop.

"Here is a little trick that I came up with a few years back while experimenting in Photoshop," Smith says. "I wanted to share it with you, so you can make your colors come to life. Its like luminosity masking, but for color. Maybe I should call it color masking?"

Interestingly enough, this Photoshop color hack resulted when Smith was fiddling around with the Black & White filter in the software. Watch the video below where he walks you through the process of how to replicate it yourself.
