Here’s Why One Pro Says “EVERY” Photographer Should Be Using Lightroom”(VIDEO)

Last week we explored the differences between Lightroom and Photoshop to help you choose the software package that best suits your needs. In the video below, image-editing expert Peter McKinnon explains why he says, “Every photographer should be using Lightroom.”

McKinnon demonstrates a number of shortcuts and other techniques designed to speed up your workflow and greatly enhance your results. He also discusses how to process images to get the best quality when posting to Instagram. McKinnon begins with a demonstration of using Lightroom to import and catalog photographs, and then turns to a number of very helpful editing techniques.

The video covers using Lightroom’s sliders and tool adjustments to manipulate white balance, refine colors, correct a skewed horizon, use masking brushes, and much more. Your can find more tips from McKinnon on his YouTube channel, and be sure to look at last week’s story explaining the differences between Lightroom and Photoshop.
