5 Things You Need to Do to Shoot SHARPER Images

Sharp photos are good and even sharper photos can better. But how do you ensure you’re getting the sharpest photos possible?

In the video below from B&H, photographer David Flores shares five things you need to know to make sharper images. From bumping up your shutter speed to tightening up your photos with Photoshop effects, these techniques should help you achieve the sharp images you’ve been looking for.

“High resolution sensors are the new normal, breaking 40 even 50 megapixels with ease," Flores says. "Nothing's more impressive than opening up a file, zooming in, and finding all the little details that you wouldn’t have seen otherwise. To resolve those details, you need sharp pictures.”

Here are the five sharpness tips Flores explains in the video. While they may seem basic to some photographers, it’s always good to get a refresher course to make sure your images stay sharp:

#1 Faster Shutter Speeds

#2 Use a Tripod

#3 Stop Down Your Lens
