Try These 7 Fun and Funky Photography Tricks for Creating Images with Impact (VIDEO)
If you’re old enough to remember the New York Yankees legendary catcher and coach Yogi Berra you probably recall his famous quote, "It's déjà vu all over again.” With that in mind we thought we’d share this somewhat old 2015 tutorial because it’s just so darn cool.
The folks at the Cooperative of Photography (COOPH) put together this mashup of fun tricks for capturing images that are a bit different and don’t require any special gear except a couple things you can make yourself. So spend three short minutes on some inspiration and go out and give these cheap tricks a try.
Our two favorites are a “Levitation” trick that involves photographing a model as she jumps off something high while holding a bundle of balloons, and a “Freelensing” technique in which you remove the lens from your camera and take photos with the lens held in front of the mount for some cool tilt/shit effects.
Another creative trick involves shooting portraits under low light through a stencil, and the rest are pretty great too.
Check out the COOPH YouTube channel for more tips and tricks, and watch another oldie but goodie we shared earlier with seven photo hacks for improving your images.
