Hugging the west bank of the Schuylkill river that bisects Philadelphia, Amtrak's 30th Street station with its Corinthian columns and Roman Temple essence is one of the city's central architectural landmarks. Built in 1933 as one of the country's most ornate train stations, this just-before dawn shot shows it to be a local luminary hub as well. The building in the background with the blue lights is an ultra-modern office building and train station parking garage.
