A couple friends of mine set our sites on a one day ski ascent/descent of Mt. Baker a couple weeks ago. The whole morning of the climb we were met with a beautiful lenticular cloud over the summit warning us of impending weather. This photo was taken at about 8,500' which means there's another 2,300' to the summit. You can barely make out other climbers on the final summit headwall. I fired off this shot with my old bulky 1st generation Tamron 18-270 lens while struggling to hold still in the strong winds.
