This Humungous Nikon 2000mm F/11 Lens Is Selling on eBay for $32,777

Rare and exotic camera lenses go on sale on eBay from time to time and they’re always fun to ogle over. PetaPixel stumbled across this eBay sale of the ginormous Nikon Reflex-Nikkor 2000mm F/11 Mirror Lens, which has an asking price of $32,777.

Yes, that’s mucho dinero but did we mention that it comes with an aluminum lens case and a leather lens cap? Still not opening your wallet? We don’t blame you.

But what if we told you the Nikkor 2000mm F/11 is Nikon’s longest reaching and largest dimension optical lens for 35mm photography and that it operates almost like a telescope? Still not convinced?

Well, think about it. It’s being sold by China’s Breguet Camera, and they do accept a “lump-sum PayPal payment,” if you need it right away. Here’s how it looks attached to a Nikon SLR.

Check out more photos of the lens and sample shots on the eBay page.

And if you like exotic lenses and what they can produce, you should see this stunning video captured by a rare Nikon 6mm f/2.8 monster fisheye. And here’s another interesting piece of glass: an unusual Nikon 13mm F/5.6 wide-angle, rectilinear lens once owned by movie special effects wizard John Dykstra who worked on Star Wars and the Spiderman and Batman films, among many others.
