The below video from photographer Daniel DeArco is a little different from the ones we’ve featured on Shutterbug in the past. It’s not exactly a How-To video but you may learn a lot about how to get your photos noticed.

Sure, the passionate kiss and the classic theater marquee in this shot by wedding photographer Jason Groupp are romantic but what’s the deal with Anthony Bourdain? The popular chef and host of CNN’s Parts Unknown seems like a cool guy and all but why photograph this couple smooching in this particular spot?

If you’re planning a photography trip this summer, you’ve no doubt thought about visiting one of this country’s great national parks. And if you’re considering the national parks in the U.S., you’ve likely put Yosemite on your list. Maybe the footage below from National Geographic will help seal the deal.

We’ve seen some damaged camera gear before but this photo of a scorched DSLR takes the cake. No, it didn’t fall into a pit of lava while capturing the erupting Kilauea volcano in Hawaii. It actually encountered something nearly equally as fierce: the blast of a rocket launch.

The Nikon D850 has certainly earned its fair share of accolades since it was launched in August 2017. We named it our favorite camera of 2017, and it also made the Technical Press Association International’s (TIPA) list as the Best Pro DSLR of 2018. Now two photographers and prominent YouTube personalities say the Nikon D850 could be the best camera of all time.

Shutter speed is one of the key elements in the so-called Exposure Triangle (Aperture, ISO, Shutter Speed) that every photographer should be familiar with. But along with helping to capture well-exposed photographs, shutter speed plays an artistic role in photography as well.

Manny Ortiz is a professional photographer we turn to again and again for inspiration and instruction. In this video titled “All Photographers Take Bad Pictures,” he offers a little bit of both.

You probably saw the footage last week of a French family getting chased by cheetahs at a safari park in the Netherlands. The incident, which made international news, showed the family, including a mother holding a small child, rushing back to the safety of their car when several cheetahs appeared to chase them.
