Phase One announced the Phase One 645DF camera. Engineered in partnership with Mamiya Digital Imaging for superior quality image capture and ease of handling, it sets a new standard for high flash sync speeds – up to 1/1600 of a second.
The 2012 Phase One Digital Artist Series (PODAS) international photography workshops are now open for enrollment. Each of the ten all-inclusive photo excursions is limited to less than 25 participants. All feature a hands-on learning environment amidst breathtaking surroundings, and for the first time, French and German speaking workshops have been arranged.
Unique to PODAS, each participant will be loaned a 60-megapixel IQ160 camera system for the workshop duration. The system comprises a Phase One 645DF camera body and IQ160 back. A full set of Phase One lenses will also be available. Participants will receive a copy of Capture One Pro software, as well as several final 30x40 prints of their work and a camera bag. Ambitious shooting excursions will be complemented by seminars on topics ranging from visualization to composition, capture, workflow and presentation.
With the recent acquisition of Microsoft's Expression Media software for digital asset management, Phase One has updated its Capture One raw converter and image editor to improve the applications’ compatibility, allowing owners of the two applications to add to functionality.

Phase One is launching a series of one-of-a-kind online events entitled “Phase One Live; Your Inspiration Stream.” Hosted by Phase One and some of the world’s leading photographers, each event will showcase a specific photography project -- tracking each step in that project’s workflow from conception through completion. The premiere event on May 23 features award winning British landscape photographer, Joe Cornish.

Capture One 5 PRO is the RAW converter and workflow application with the broadest tethered shooting support, not only for Phase One digital backs, but also for DSLRs from Canon and Nikon. This version adds support for additional DSLR models and RAW file support for selected Leaf digital backs.

Phase One has released Media Pro 1.2. Media Pro, a powerful photography assistant for finding, organizing, and sharing digital images and videos no matter where the files are stored. Media Pro supports very large photo libraries, with support for photo and video files from more than 100 different cameras.
