John Paul Caponigro and Mac Holbert To Lead Digital Fine Art Printing Workshop

Epson America today announced that John Paul Caponigro and Mac Holbert, two of the pre-eminent leaders in digital photography and fine art printing, will be hosting a workshop in the state-of-the-art digital printing labs of Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Calif., June 25--29. Caponigro and Holbert have joined together to offer attendees an exclusive experience at the "Fine Art of Digital Printing" workshop, providing one-on-one instruction with access to today's leading digital printing technology.

"We're beginning to see a need for a shift in today's photography workshops, specifically in the way we organize and deliver the content to meet the needs of our attendees," said Caponigro, world-renowned digital photographer. "While there continues to be value in the experience provided by larger, traditional workshops with multiple classes occurring simultaneously, we're finding that we can enhance what attendees take away by providing smaller-scaled, highly-focused workshops with fewer distractions."

Caponigro and Holbert created the Fine Art of Digital Printing workshop to foster growth and creativity among professionals and serious advanced amateurs. The workshop will cover topics impacting the entire printing workflow, employing innovative techniques with the industry's leading printing technology. Committed to producing the finest digital photographs, as well as teaching with the highest quality products in the industry, Caponigro and Holbert have arranged for students to work on Epson's award-winning Epson Stylus® Pro 3800 and 7800 wide-format printers.

In addition, in an effort to provide the highest quality teaching environment, the workshop will take advantage of Epson's latest generation of 3LCD projectors for both accuracy and clarity of all projected tutorials.

"At Nash Editions, we have always been committed to educating others in the art of digital fine art printmaking," said Holbert, master printmaker and co-founder, Nash Editions. "Working with John Paul is a natural extension of the fine art printmaking sessions we conduct at the Epson Print Academy®. I'm looking forward to being a part of this unique workshop experience that provides two different viewpoints for attendees and aligns with our mission at Nash Editions to collaborate with the best in the industry."

To create an intimate learning environment, the Fine Art of Digital Printing workshop will be limited to 24 attendees. Valued at $1,995, this inaugural workshop will be offered at an exclusive price of $1,295, thanks to the support provided by Epson. This fee includes all lab costs, complete access to the digital printing lab until 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, unlimited use of ink and media, and materials and postage to properly ship any prints made during the workshop. In addition, catered lunches will be provided each day to allow attendees to maximize the amount of time they have with the instructors and in the digital labs.
