Snapfish and Walgreens Offer One Hour Photofinishing…Online
By Shutterbug Staff September 7, 2005 — Photo sharing and printing options are becoming more interesting every day. HP has announced that customers of its Snapfish online photo service can now order prints online and have them ready for pickup in as little as one hour at their local Walgreens. The in-store service applies to sizes 4x6 through 8x10 inches. The service is first rolling out for Walgreens locations in Boston, New York and San Francisco. By late September HP anticipates that the service will expand to over 4000 Walgreens locations.

In addition, the company has announced a new and free print at home service, which is said to allow Snapfish customers to print their uploaded Snapfish photos on their home printers. Customers elect photos from their Snapfish account, choose a print size, edit and print. There’s also a new web-to-phone sharing feature that allows Snapfish customers to send select images to up to 10 mobile phone numbers of their choice.
