Looking Glass
At the time we spoke, Brett was a few weeks away from graduating with
an associate's degree, and he planned to look for an assisting job
in a commercial studio, perhaps in Dallas, Ft. Worth, or Austin. He also
has a degree in business management, a field that didn't appeal
to him as much as he thought it would--and certainly not as much
as photography.
Although he's quite familiar with Photoshop and digital cameras
(he shoots with a Canon D30), the glassware images you see here feature
very little manipulation. The look was achieved with lighting and camera
placement. "I don't have as much access to a darkroom as I
have to a computer," Brett says, "and I like to have the control
over an image that the computer gives me."

She plans to continue studying photography and hopes to someday market
her images for calendars and magazine illustrations. "Right now
I'm using nursing to get to the places where the pictures are. One
of the main reasons I stay in nursing is because it allows me to travel
and do my photography."
