I've seen this several times and wonder why others have not commented. The only reason that I rated it as less than what I would have otherwise is because the colors seem off to me, and I cannot see definition (e.g. head & eye) Anyone can take a goose on water - or sitting - etc. but you captured this guy with feet flying and it has an amusing charm about it

Yes, I agree. It is not very a very clear or good shot but I did like the slight humor of it. I've tried to work with it but to no means. Thank you so much for your comment and rating.

Clew, I'm going to add a few more with the rating. Yes, the colour is off and I know why from experience. I shoot really, really fast when snagging my duck shots and geese when I'm lucky enough. I set my camera to Shutter priority and usually 1500-2000 for my shutter speed. The camera will select the Aperture and if you want a bit darker, just select an minus one exposure compensation.
Also, you've got to select 400 or even 800 ISO on a sunny day. This is for action photography, if you're shooting both action and still shots at the same time, set up your still shot setting using the Aperture priority and toggle between the two of them while out in the field not to lose a shot. Careful, you may shoot away at a goose taking off and notice that you're still on Aperture leaving you with mostly blurry shots. Trust me, I do it all the time.
Enjoy.

Thank you so much for the information Sylephoto. I am off to grab a cup of coffee and try it out. Yawn....I read early morning is a really good time to grab some pictures. Can't wait.

Glad to hear it.
I forgot to mention the reason for such a high ISO. When you shoot using Shutter Priority, I mentioned the camera selects the Aperture for you. With a higher ISO you'll get a fast shot with a deeper focal plane because the camera will select a higher aperture to darken the photo while using a higher ISO, which in turn gives more focus to the wings along with the body as these birds are going by.
This is my method, I'm sure there's good reason for some to say, "no way," but it works for me.
Enjoy.
