The international Sony World Photography Awards is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2017, and there’s still time to enter for a chance at some great prizes. To get you inspired, here are a few of our favorite early entries.

The highly respected competition is free to enter, and has the power to jump-start the career of winning and commended photographers.

Last year the Sony World Photography Awards received over a million entries from amateur and professional photographers across the globe. There’s also a Youth competition for photographers aged 12-19, and a Student category for those studying photography in college.The competition is judged by a respected panel of photography experts including museum curators, respected photo editors, creative directors and other industry luminaries

Each year the Sony World Photography Awards has an exhibition of winning images that travels extensively to venues from Europe to Asia. You can also view galleries of previous year’s winners and runners-up on the competition’s website.
