Training for what? Are you interested in becoming a first rate shooter in the business, or is this just for fun?

This is for fun right now but I would like to have the knowldge and education to produce the best pictures I can if I choose to do it for bussines in the future.

There is no Pro Certification or license to practice photography. But most of the higher paying affordable work in photography is going to more and more people who have at least a BA in the field or better. The best schools are a few on the east and west coasts of the US, mostly private, that offer a BA in photography that is respected. But many schools do all over the country (often in fine art photography), so the choice is confusing to say the least. Regardless if you want to use the time invested now, put it into an accreddited college or university, if you want to further this at a later date.
