There are a host of inkjet paper surfaces and brands available. To get the best results it's often recommended to work with the paper with the printer manufacturer's brand. Is this your practice?

I'm an advanced amature and would go broke if had to pay for native inks and paper while gladly admitting germain supplies are tuned in for specific printers. I find it relatively easy and cost efficeint to fine-tune quality generic profiles for a given printer

For everyday use the Manufacturer's papers are overpriced, and for special prints for art shows and the like they do not offer a variety of finishes. I also find that clients appreciate seeing prints made from premium papers, especially if they recognize the Manufacturer's name and associate it with quality.
