Michelle Obama Tears Up Ban on Photography During White House Tours (VIDEO)

A 40-year ban on photography during White House tours has officially ended...in style.

In the below video posted to First Lady Michell Obama's Instagram feed, the First Lady literally tears up a sign with the rule banning photos and social media usage in the White House during tours.

The First Lady's video was backed up by an official statement from the White House which reads: "Effective today, guests are now welcome to take photos throughout the White House tour route and keep those memories for a lifetime."

There are still some restrictions on picture taking in the White House. Cameras with lenses longer than three inches are not permitted on White House tours, nor are tripods, video cameras, flash photography, or livestreaming.
