This photo was taken on Crosby Beach, adding a different look at Antony Gormly's "Another Place". I wanted to capture something that would make people think "wow". And i firmly believe that this has that potential. It was a late winters night and the lighting had to be all artificial. We had an array of torches to light up the statue from the front and back and let the long exposure capture the detail of the sparks from the wire wool spinning technique me and my partner use to add great effects to our photography. Of course, none of this would be possible without the use of a tripod!
