Tampa is the lightning capital of the world and can provide some excellent night images. I took this photo a few days ago ( 7/9/13) and when I transferred the images to my computer, I immediately saw the unmistakeable face that the clouds had produced. I don't normally make much out of figures in the clouds but this one got my attention!

D800, Nikkor 24-70mm, f/2.8 lens

30 second exposure at f/22, ISO 100

Yes, being at the right place at the right time is important. But nothing would have been captured without the talent behind the camera. Great selection!
