This Is the ONE Camera Setting You Need to CHANGE for Perfectly SHARP Landscape Photos

Most photographers probably think they know their cameras pretty well at this point. So why then do our photos come out, shall we say, less than sharp sometimes?

It could simply be that we don't know our gear as well as we thought we did. Just ask landscape pro Mark Denney who struggled with consistent image sharpness when he first started out as a photographer. That's all changed, however, now that he knows the one camera setting to adjust to produce perfectly sharp images every time.

"One of the biggest struggles I encountered when I was first getting started with landscape photography had to do with the challenges related to successfully focusing my camera," Denney says. "I can't begin to tell you how many times I used to return home from a trip only to find out that some of my favorite images we're out of focus - it's a brutal feeling!"

In the below video, Denney shares his current focusing method, which he says has been "by far the most successful and consistently reliable technique that I’ve ever used."

"I think everyone has a slightly different approach when it comes to achieving sharp focus and I’ve changed my workflow for this multiple times over the years. But my current focusing technique is hands down the best approach I’ve tried," he notes. "And one of the key components or steps in my focusing workflow relies on a slight modification to your camera's focus settings which I discuss in detail in this video. It’s super simple to make this settings adjustment and I highly encourage you to at least try it out and if you don’t like it then you can always change it back."
