Instagram Debuts Five New Photo Filters for App: Slumber, Crema, Ludwig, Perpetua & Aden

Instagram has introduced five new creative filters for its popular, photo-sharing app: Slumber, Crema, Ludwig, Perpetua, and Aden.

Instagram’s original crop of filters was created to compensate for lower image quality of the smart phone cameras of the day. This collection of five new filters takes advantage of the much higher image quality available today and provides an easy way to capture the mood you are looking for in your photos.

Instagram also announced three new features: the ability to upload slo-mo video, real-time commenting and the option to adjust a photo's perspective using the Adjust tool—and the ability to personalize your tray of filters (and a new look for the filter previews).

Instagram's updated inerface makes it simple and easy to choose between filters and each filter icon on the bottom now displays a blurred preview of your photo with its effect applied. The addition of the new “Manage” button (at the end of your filter tray) makes it easy to arrange your filters any way you like and hide the ones that you don’t use very often.

Instagram for iOS version 6.4.0 is now available today in the Apple App Store and the Android version 6.12.0 is available on Google Play.
