I find staying with my printer's manufacturers (HP) paper I get much better results.

I also print on artists water color paper and artists coated canvas. I print on an Epson 785EPX.

I'm an advanced amature and would go broke if had to pay for native inks and paper while gladly admitting germain supplies are tuned in for specific printers. I find it relatively easy and cost efficeint to fine-tune quality generic profiles for a given printer

The printer has paper settings for use with the manufacturer's brand papers. I beleive I will get better results if the printer knows exactly what it's working with.

For everyday use the Manufacturer's papers are overpriced, and for special prints for art shows and the like they do not offer a variety of finishes. I also find that clients appreciate seeing prints made from premium papers, especially if they recognize the Manufacturer's name and associate it with quality.
