appleJuce: Sooner or later the LCD screen on your camera (tablet, laptop or smartphone) will lose its luster due to the dust, dirt and smudges accumulating on its surface. The dirt reduces the screen’s clarity, brightness and color accuracy but it can be restored with a good cleaning. Many household cleaners contain ingredients that can damage the screen’s sensitive surface. appleJuce is a complete solution for cleaning these devices. The 2oz appleJuce pump is ideal for use at home, in the studio, or on location. Its TSA-approved size is small enough for travel and fits easily in an organization case so appleJuce is handy whenever you need it. appleJuce is alcohol and ammonia free and it removes stains/oils from all screens, it also polishes the surface of your electronics. Environmentally friendly, appleJuce has a green apple scent and the package includes appleJuce solution in a 2oz pump bottle and two reusable screen cleaning cloths for a suggested retail price of $12.95.

When applied to humans, the word “character” has two distinct meanings, an oddball or eccentric as in “Fred is a real character” or a morally upstanding person, as in “Charlie is a man of unimpeachable character.” When it comes to machines created by humans, the word “character” conveys a slightly different constellation of meanings, hovering somewhere between “having lovable defects” like an old Model T Ford, and expressing a distinctive personality, like a classic Ferrari.

Since scratching the first drawings of animals onto cave walls, humans have been compelled to create images of their world for others to see and understand. During the past 150 years, the shape, size, and technology of the tools we have used to produce photographs has changed drastically. To capture sweeping landscape vistas, we no longer need to drive a mule-drawn darkroom wagon into the wilderness. Now a camera that fits in a pocket can do the job. During the coming year, the means that we will use to capture photographs may change but not the motivation to share a view of our world with other people.
