Has anyone tried the Olympus xD-Picture Cards and can comment on their advantages or disadvantages? Or perhaps there is someone who hasn't used them but still knows why one would use them rather than CompactFlash cards. Thanks!

Compact flash cards are physically larger and perhaps a bit sturdier. There is also more variety available as far as both the maximum Gigabytes they may hold and transfer speeds.

I have both CF and Olympus X-D cards.
The advantage to the X-D's is that my C5050 will do an auto in camera panarama with the OLYMPUS (ONLY) brand of XD's. They are small and easy to loose. The auto stitch in PSE may make the auto panarama a moot point for many people.

Thanks! I wondered what the Oly Website meant about panoramas.
