Has anyone started using windows 7 or heard any reviews regarding its impact on digital editing and processing yet? Considering the upgrade but don't want to spend the money if it carries over the issues that vista did.
I have a new machine with Vista 64-bit that came with a free Windows 7 upgrade. So far, I haven't had any problems in Vista with Photoshop CS3, Bridge, or Adobe Camera Raw. I'm a little reluctant to push my luck by installing Windows 7 just now. I might wait until Microsoft issues the first service pack for it.

I was one of the original betatesters of Windows 7 and I used it for 8 months before the final release came out to the public. Right away I noticed the increase in speed and stability compared to Vista. I own a laptop that came with Vista and it was painfully slow so i installed the beta there too and there was a huge improvement.
My desktop is custom built by myself, I had both WinXP and 7 on it, but a few months I just decided it was time to retire XP. I really have nothing negative to say about Windows 7 (I use the 64 bit version), everything works as it should and it's speedy compared to Vista.

If Microsoft were as great as they claim, and Windows as good as it should be, by this time wouldn't it be secure and free from external attacks by viruses?
